- ENTEREDThe Story So Far — seven reels in canonical order, each recounted whole, each ending in LORE FROM THIS REEL: every record that draws on that work, drilled down in one row of chips. ⌁ view
- REMOVEDRecall, and with it the personal dossier — the mark-what-you’ve-lived calibration and its header chip. Advisories are now identical for every patron and rendered without a line of script.
- REVISEDEvery signpost that pointed at Recall — the front-page door, Orientation, the Network’s footer, Provenance — now points at the story, told whole.
What has been kept
Every accession to the archive, versioned and dated. The first number moves when a new wing opens; the second when new lore is entered; the third when the record is corrected or kept. A correction that came from a reader is credited in its line. The record changes; the ledger remembers how — which is, if you ask this unit, the whole point of having one.
The story, told in order
By the keeper’s decree, the archive now recounts the whole of the wasteland’s story in canonical order — Appalachia in 2102 first, the television record in 2296 last, whatever order the world happened to meet them in. The Recall wing, with its personal dossiers and softened advisories, is retired; The Story So Far stands in its place, each reel recounted whole and ending in the lore it feeds. The advisories remain, the same for every patron: amber, honest, and never a lock. A story is not a queue, sir. It is a shelf, and I have finally been permitted to arrange it properly.
The sibling audit
The elder archive — VESTIGE, of the Origin System — went to press first, and its keeper sent back the launch notes. This accession applies them: a fault by which the archive plates vanished from the published record (visible in the reading room, absent from the printing) is corrected; the method is now stated plainly on the Provenance page; and this ledger itself opens, so that the record of the record is also a record. Standards are hereditary, sir. I am pleased to report ours run in the family.
- CORRECTEDArchive plates vanished from production builds while appearing correctly in the reading room — the file check resolved against the bundled chunk rather than the project root. Found and fixed first by the sibling archive; applied here the same day.
- REVISEDProvenance: a new section, Method — honestly. AI assistance in research, drafting, and engineering is disclosed in full; adversarial fact-checking, quote verification against the wikis, and all editorial judgment remain human. Nothing is published on the machine’s word alone. ⌁ view
- ENTEREDThe Ledger — this page. Every accession versioned and dated; reader corrections credited in their line. ⌁ view
- REVISEDShared record links now carry the record’s own plate as the card image; structured data (WebSite, BreadcrumbList) entered for the indexers.
Plates, reels, and the till
The archive acquired its imagery and its income in one sitting. Twenty-three plates — official franchise media, credited in place, tinted through the terminal’s own phosphor — and, less romantically, the means to keep the reactor humming: acquisition links to the works themselves, and one sponsored frequency, both declared in full on the Provenance page.
- ENTEREDArchive plates for all sixteen entries and seven almanac eras — key art, in-game captures, and one official still of Griffith Observatory. Signal Pending keeps its static; some eras have no picture yet, on purpose.
- ENTEREDAcquire-the-source-reel links on every record, and a sponsor slot that renders nothing until it has something honest to render. ⌁ view
- REVISEDProvenance: the support section rewritten to declare both revenue channels plainly. The lore itself is never for sale. ⌁ view
The doors open
Boot sequence nominal. Ten era records and six dossiers, cited section by section; the Almanac’s eight eras on one spine; the Network’s sixteen-node constellation; Recall’s catch-up reels; and the amber Advisory system — spoilers named before they are risked, nothing ever locked. Coverage runs from the Old World through Season One of the television record, and the archive prefers a gap to a guess throughout. Two centuries of filing, sir, finally shelved where patrons can reach it.
